I am a Constitutional Conservative, Republican woman.  I am a licensed Mortgage Loan Officer and also, more importantly, a successful single mother of 3.  All three of my children vote Republican, reside in Montgomery County and are responsible citizens.  My oldest son has a successful job and is getting married to a beautiful young woman, with 2 young boys, in February.  My second son is a Political Science major, in his last semester at West Texas A&M University and my daughter is married, a working mother and gave me my first grandchild. I have been licensed in Real Estate and been licensed in Personal Lines Insurance. I did attend Lone Star College, with honors.  Working hard comes natural to me and I strive to be my best, in all that I do.

I was raised in a very stable and loving family in Spring/Klein,Texas and graduated from Klein High School. I moved my children to Montgomery County in 2007.  I have volunteered with Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, the Montgomery County Food Bank, Veteran Benefits, Homeless Ministries and Divorce Care for adults and children.  I have, myself, rescued many animals and kept them or found them homes.  I love the Lord and I believe in taking care of those in need, whether humans or animals.  I was raised in a church school and have always been involved in church and ministry, in many different areas.

It is very important to me to bring about change in our country, state and county, for my family and yours. I will work hard to give the control back to the people. I stand for the Flag, Bill of Rights and the Constitution. I am a Second Amendment advocate. I believe in life at conception and have gone to the State Capitol to fight for Life. I do take my responsibility, as a United States citizen, very seriously. I was a delegate to the Republican State Convention in 2018. I write to elected officials, often, regarding issues that are concerning to me. I have always voted Republican and I make it my business to be educated about the issues and candidates, locally and nationally.  I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and I stand firm to His truths and I believe that the Bible is the Word of God.

I ask for your vote in this election and I promise to do my best and to work hard for our county, state and country.  Thank you!

Questionnaire

General

Please describe what you believe are the most significant issues in this race, why and what you'll do to address them?

In my specific race the biggest issue, is giving the power back to the people of Montgomery County.  I am presently the Precinct Chair and I have voted on items and participated in may areas working toward this goal.  Our taxes are too high in the county and I will do what is necessary to hold those in charge of this accountable, at the voting booth and every day business. In my Precinct, the lake Conroe lowering is a big issue and I will be attending the SJRA meetings to help fight that battle, along with other property owners, around the lake. Traffic flow is an issue in my area, they are busy working on the roads making way for the growth, in Montgomery County.  I will continue to monitor this and speak up when necessary.  We had several agenda items for the most recent,Texas Legislature, which did not get the attention they needed.  I will continue to fight for life, at conception and our Consittutional Rights, where necessary.

Do you promise, if elected, to abide by the RPT platform? And if not, please enumerate what problems you have.

I do promise to abide by the RPT platform.

What differentiates you from your opponents?

I do not know my opponent, personally.  We are both Republican women, I can not say either way, by experience, what she believes in.  I am a Constitutional Conservative Republican and I believe in giving the power that the government presently holds, back to the people.

What best describes your political ideology most(circle only one).
1.        Republican
2.        Grassroots
3.        Conservative
4.        Tea Party

I am a Constitutional Conservative, who operates at the Grassroots level, in the Republican Party, that agrees with the Tea Party Movement and fiscal responsibility of government.

Please list 3 federal agencies that are popular in our culture and should be abolished

I.R.S., Need a new system.

N.S.A., Don't need it and CIA.

Department of Education, should be at state level only.

Fine Arts, not necessary

There are many of them and I am hoping the President will weed them out, as soon as possible, it is a drain on our country.

Should Texas GOP limit their elected officials to 8 years or less from the same office, even though it will force some good candidates to leave an office?

Yes, I do believe in term limits.  There are many areas where good candidates can serve, elsewhere, when their term is up.  They can also run again, at a later date.

When you leave office what accomplishment/s do you want to be your hallmark, your legacy, and why?

I want people to remember me as a warrior, for the rights of the people.  I want people to know I did my best to make a difference.  Standing firm in the face of adversity, for what is right and true.  I want to stand before God one day and have Him tell me that I was a good and faithful servant.  I want my legacy to be Freedom for our children and grandchildren.

Taxes

What form of federal tax law do you support (e.g., current, flat tax, fair tax, other) and why?

I do not support the current system, for sure.  The flat tax has it's problems, also, but if the people are going to pay a tax on income it should be a flat rate across the board.  I like the idea of no income tax and taxes on retail items, fair tax. That seems to me, to be easiest and least cumbersome to keep up with.

I would have to study it more in depth to give a better answer than the one above.  I do believe we need a new system.

A couple of years ago, a resolution was put forth by MoCo GOP to institute a 20% Homestead Exemption.  Did you support or oppose this and why?

I do support the Homestead Exemption it is a protection for homeowner's in many different aspects.  The tax break is great, but I don't like it that we are taxed at all.

2nd Amendment - guns

Do you believe the Second Amendment grants an individual right or a militia right?

The militia is formed by the people.  The people have the right and freedom to keep and bear arms. It is both an individual and a militia right.

10th Amendment

Please explain your interpretation of the Tenth Amendment and the principle of nullification. Do states have a right of nullification? What should the federal government do if a state attempts nullification?

The 10th Amendment's purpose is to define the division of power between the Federal government and the state.  It was designed to define the power of taxing, police and federal regulations. It also protects the power of each entity from each other.  The state should have the right to nullify overreach.  There are issues in this area because of the broadness of the amendment.  I believe it needs to be more specific.

Other civil liberty

Do you support or oppose federal funding for Planned Parenthood and other agencies that perform abortions, both in the U.S. and abroad (even if they use money derived from other sources)?

Absolutely not!!!!  We should not ever support this in any way.

At what point should the "right to life" or "personhood" be granted to new human beings (e.g., at conception, birth, 5 days old, etc)? What action, if any, will you take to reflect this in law?

The right to life comes at conception.  We must protect the unborn. I will always fight to protect life.  I have gone to the State Capitol alone, to vote for life and I have sent letters to elected officials. This is our most important issue in the state and country, in my opinion.

Education

Do you support or oppose allowing parents direct the flow of federal education funds (e.g., to their school or home school of choice)? Support? Oppose? Please explain.

I support allowing parents to direct the flow of funds to the school of their choice.  It's the taxpayers money they should say where it goes.  I don't believe the Federal Government should have any control of our Education System, at all.  I believe it should belong to the state.

Ethics

Do you agree with precinct chairs involvement in republican primaries? Why or why not?

We should help as much as we can, without disobeying any rules of order, of the RPT.

What's your impression of GOP Speaker Dennis Bonnen after he was caught offering a Quid Pro Quo to Empower Texans Michael Quinn Sullivan?  Should Speaker Bonnen resign?  Should he suffer legal ramifications for his action/s?

I believe he is a traitor to the party and he needs to be removed.  If what he has done, when all is said and done is illegal, yes he needs to suffer legal consequences, like any one else would.  He shouldn't be exempt, if he is corrupt.  He is part of the swamp in Texas, in my opinion.

Is there anything in your background of an embarrassing nature that should be explained before your election? Arrests/Convictions? Bankruptcys?

I do not have any arrests, convictions or bankruptcys.

Immigration

What, if anything, should be done to protect our borders from illegal immigration?

We should do everything in our power to protect out borders.  I agee with building the wall and have supported it financially.  Until we can secure all parts of the border, with a wall, we should have National Guard, etc. there in force to stop the drugs, illegal entry and human trafficking that is taking place.  We have a right to protect our borders. We need a better and more efficient system, once they have come into our country to get them back out.  If they want to become citizens they should not break the law.  We need a more efficient system for citizenship, also.

Amnesty comes in many forms.  What's your view as it pertains to Texas?

Amnesty, should be given with discretion, based upon the severity of the offense.  Anything done out of hate or maliciousness should not be amnestied.  Enemies of the state should not be amnestied.  There is always going to be punishment for wrongdoing, if we knowingly do something wrong, we should know we have to pay for it.  Intent is important in amnesty situations and should be considered.

Transportation

Do you support or oppose the referendum passed by both the MoCo GOP Executive Committee and SREC to allow voters, at the statewide level, to decide in the voting booth whether or not they want a particular toll road?  Why or why not?

I support this referendum.  I believe the people should always vote on placement of toll roads.  The people have to pay for them, they should have the input.

Did you take a public position on the May 9, 2015 Road Bond, and if so, what was it? And in a few sentences, explain why.

I was not in public office, so I did not have a platform to take a position.  I don't make a practice of voting for bonds.

My mother had just passed away suddenly and my son was graduating from high school, so I really don't have any comments regarding this road bond.

Other

What does being a conservative mean to you?

Being a conservative means to me, I have respect for and support American traditions and beliefs, Christian values and the moral standards this country was created on.  I want these values preserved, along with our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Do you support the Montgomery County Republican Party By-Laws as adopted by the CEC on 6/26/18?  And if not, why not?

Yes, I do support the Montgomery County Republican Party By-Laws, as adopted by the CEC on 6/26/18.  The power should belong to the people of Montgomery County.
