Questionnaire

General

Please describe what you believe are the most significant issues in this race, why and what you'll do to address them?

The most important issue facing the MOCO Pct 12 chair is to follow the bylaws of the party, as set forth every biennial and follow to the Texas Republican Party Platform.  Keeping Montgomery County Red and TEXAS red.  To support local conservative Republican candidates and all Republican candidates in general and non-partisan elections.

Do you promise, if elected, to abide by the RPT platform? And if not, please enumerate what problems you have.

Yes!

What differentiates you from your opponents?

I have been actively involved with the MCRP since 1980 and have held the 1st ever Republican Primary election in MC Pct 12 in 1982.  I have held every MCRP Pct 12 primary election ever since.  I have attended most of my District Conventions and state conventions..  Served on different MCRP committees including the candidates comittee, rules committee, nominations committee credentials committee and resolution committees.   Attend monthly/quarterly CEC meeting.

I have worked for local, state and national campaines for over 35 years.

What best describes your political ideology most(circle only one).
1.        Republican
2.        Grassroots
3.        Conservative
4.        Tea Party

I consider myself a Constitutional Consertive with Libertarian leanings.  We must restore the Constitution to the original intend of the framers.

Please list 3 federal agencies that are popular in our culture and should be abolished

Department of Education

Health and Human Services

Should Texas GOP limit their elected officials to 8 years or less from the same office, even though it will force some good candidates to leave an office?

undecided

When you leave office what accomplishment/s do you want to be your hallmark, your legacy, and why?

This position is not about me or my legacy.  It is about our county, state and country keeping conservative Judeo/ Christian values and the rule of law.  I am proud of what I have accomplished.  But, my greatest accomplish is my family and they are my legacy.

Taxes

What form of federal tax law do you support (e.g., current, flat tax, fair tax, other) and why?

Consumption tax, This allows each person control over how much tax they pay by the goods and services they purchase. A consumption tax also covers all persons living or visiting in the USA and people who get paid "under the table"

A couple of years ago, a resolution was put forth by MoCo GOP to institute a 20% Homestead Exemption.  Did you support or oppose this and why?

I support reducing the tax burden of all property owners.

2nd Amendment - guns

Do you believe the Second Amendment grants an individual right or a militia right?

Both!

10th Amendment

Please explain your interpretation of the Tenth Amendment and the principle of nullification. Do states have a right of nullification? What should the federal government do if a state attempts nullification?

The federal government should only have powers expressly given to it in the Constitution. ALL other powers are reserved to the states or the people

Other civil liberty

Do you support or oppose federal funding for Planned Parenthood and other agencies that perform abortions, both in the U.S. and abroad (even if they use money derived from other sources)?

I oppose abortion! and the federal funding of Planned Parenthood

At what point should the "right to life" or "personhood" be granted to new human beings (e.g., at conception, birth, 5 days old, etc)? What action, if any, will you take to reflect this in law?

Life began at conception.  I support laws that define personhood as from the moment of conception.

Education

Do you support or oppose allowing parents direct the flow of federal education funds (e.g., to their school or home school of choice)? Support? Oppose? Please explain.

I spport school choice and any funding should be directed by the parents. Be it public, private or homeschool.

Ethics

Do you agree with precinct chairs involvement in republican primaries? Why or why not?

Yes Pct chairs should be involved in primaries.  It is my constitutional right of free speech to support Republican candidates in a primary.  Any Republican Pct Chair or Party Chairman should NEVER publicly support a Democrat in any race!

What's your impression of GOP Speaker Dennis Bonnen after he was caught offering a Quid Pro Quo to Empower Texans Michael Quinn Sullivan?  Should Speaker Bonnen resign?  Should he suffer legal ramifications for his action/s?

Yes Bonnen should suffer legal ramification for his actions!

Is there anything in your background of an embarrassing nature that should be explained before your election? Arrests/Convictions? Bankruptcys?

None

Immigration

What, if anything, should be done to protect our borders from illegal immigration?

Build the wall. Tighten all border security measures, hire more border patrol.

Amnesty comes in many forms.  What's your view as it pertains to Texas?

No amnesty.  If you are here illegally you should leave and return legally.

Transportation

Do you support or oppose the referendum passed by both the MoCo GOP Executive Committee and SREC to allow voters, at the statewide level, to decide in the voting booth whether or not they want a particular toll road?  Why or why not?

Yes voters should decide whether or not they want a toll road.

Did you take a public position on the May 9, 2015 Road Bond, and if so, what was it? And in a few sentences, explain why.

Yes, opposing the bond with a yard sign.

Maintaining the US Constitution as the framers intended.  Religious freedom, gun rights, school choice, low taxes right to life.

Do you support the Montgomery County Republican Party By-Laws as adopted by the CEC on 6/26/18?  And if not, why not?

Yes, I support the MCRP By laws adopted on June 26, 2018 by the CEC.
