I have lived all over the U.S. and the Middle East. I have been active on political campaigns since 1988. I have been an educator-taught eight subjects, in the oil business-Baker Highes-MWD Engineer, an award winning Financial Advisor and have my own political consulting company. I have lived in Texas for over 25 years. I am currently the April Sound Precinct Chair-77. I have been elevated by my peers to be both the Area Chairman for Montgomery-Area 1 and the Senate District 3 Convention Chairman. My proudest achievement is my brilliant and beautiful daughter who has overcome so much in her life.

General

Please describe what you believe are the most significant issues in this race, why and what you'll do to address them?

I have vast experience in politics. I have been elevated by my peers to provide that experience in campaign messaging and all aspects of winning elections for Constitutional Republicans.

The most signifigant issues in Montgomery County are keeping Texas Red by endorsing in ALL elections. Having an active party which provides training on messaging, candidate support and providing the training necessary to ensure that our President receives as many votes as possible in this county.

This County vastly overspends and is currently being run in a defacto manner by engineering firms, political cronies, and is in dire need of actual Conservatism.

I am not speaking rhetorically. I am currently running the Campaign for future Precinct 1 Commissioner Dr. Billy Graff who is a Congressionally Awarded Disaster relief expert-the hardest thing any Commissioner will ever have to do in a time of emergency.

Dr. Graff is uniquely qualified to be the third Conservative vote in the most important race in the county.

After the primary, all differences should be be put aside to help RE-ELECT PRESIDENT TRUMP in 2020.

Do you promise, if elected, to abide by the RPT platform? And if not, please enumerate what problems you have.

Yes, I will always follow the rules set forth by the RPT platform.

What differentiates you from your opponents?

Experience and an elevation in the party that has rarely happened so quickly in the county. I don't know my opponent and don't beleive in false witnessing. I understand that she is young and I would encourage her to come to CEC meetings to learn the process.

What best describes your political ideology most(circle only one).
1.        Republican
2.        Grassroots
3.        Conservative
4.        Tea Party

Constitutional Conservative...This philosphy encourages unity among all wings of the party by having fidelity to our Constitution. So i'm all of these. I won't circle one--leaders don't do that--lol.

Please list 3 federal agencies that are popular in our culture and should be abolished

The Commerce Department--which I have worked for. A giant waste of resources but makes themselves look like they are actually doing something concrete.

The Education Department because since 1979 when it was established, US tests scores have dropped from near the top in the world to 17th. Local control is always best!!!

The Energy Department should be abolished because wasting resources on boondoggles such as Solyndra are ridiculous. Let the free market reign.

Should Texas GOP limit their elected officials to 8 years or less from the same office, even though it will force some good candidates to leave an office?

Yes. We should not have a permanent political class. It invites too much potential corruption. Our founding fathers never could have envisioned the system we have today.

When you leave office what accomplishment/s do you want to be your hallmark, your legacy, and why?

I want a united Conservative small government Republican Party in this county, not what we have today. I want the party to start vetting candidates for office on the basis of the quality of their ideas, not the size of their bank accounts. I will work tirelessly to make this county proud by offering resolutions that will unite all Consevatives. My legacy will be of following the Constitution, even when it may become unpopular. My political hero is Sam Houston. He went against his own party on slavery, and to me--God will always smile on those who do the right thing.

Taxes

What form of federal tax law do you support (e.g., current, flat tax, fair tax, other) and why?

I support a flat tax with deductions for mortgage interest and charitable giving. Before doing that, I would make sure that we cut spending first...We cant afford structural annual deficits forever. I could talk about this all day, but I won't. I have taught Economics. I know every important metric and I can take any quiz you have to prove it. We overtax, and we overspend--this is the legacy of Keynesian Economics and we never address these issues. Both parties have failed in this regard.

A couple of years ago, a resolution was put forth by MoCo GOP to institute a 20% Homestead Exemption.  Did you support or oppose this and why?

I supported the resolution of course...

2nd Amendment - guns

Do you believe the Second Amendment grants an individual right or a militia right?

There is no distinction to me. I support gun owners rights and the Second Amendment always. This distinction is exploited by the left with no historical basis in fact. The plain text of the Second Amendment is clear and unambiguous. Congress shall make no law infringing on this right.

10th Amendment

Please explain your interpretation of the Tenth Amendment and the principle of nullification. Do states have a right of nullification? What should the federal government do if a state attempts nullification?

The best thing that State Senator Brandon Creighton ever did was stand up for the tenth amendment and states rights. When states reinforce the Constitution--say on attempts to bring gun control and reject federal intervention on the issue--they are upholding our Federal Constitution and our Second Amendment. But when states do not follow federal law enforcement edicts on immigration, they subvert the rule of law for lawlessness i.e. Sanctuary Cities. My answer is clear. If states follow the national constitution, and the federal government is upholding the constitution-- nullification is never neccessary. But if the federal government is in clear violation of our Constitution with regard to a number of issues, states have a duty to their citizens to uphold the Constitution as it was intended and reserve their right to nullify. When Federalism works it is a thing to behold! When it doesn't, the proper role of courts is to determine who is correct with their interpretation of constitutional law.

Other civil liberty

Do you support or oppose federal funding for Planned Parenthood and other agencies that perform abortions, both in the U.S. and abroad (even if they use money derived from other sources)?

I oppose Federal and International funding for Abortion. No question. I believe in the Right to Life.

At what point should the "right to life" or "personhood" be granted to new human beings (e.g., at conception, birth, 5 days old, etc)? What action, if any, will you take to reflect this in law?

Any scientist who is not a polemicist will tell you that life begins at conception. End of story. I will support laws that protect the unborn at every stage of development. I am against and horrified by partial birth abortion and Democrats opposition to providing care to babies who were delivered during botched abortions frankly disgusts me. I will protest these travesties everywhere and in every venue I can with the powerful story of my daughter, who many told me we should abort. I will save this story for an appropriate venue.

Education

Do you support or oppose allowing parents direct the flow of federal education funds (e.g., to their school or home school of choice)? Support? Oppose? Please explain.

I believe we should be providing alternatives to the brick and mortar indoctrination factories that many schools have become--they are expensive and ineffective. I have taught in two states and three school districts. As long as the parents of the students have proper credentials and educational resources, they should be able to direct those federal dollars to state approved programs that are tailored to the individual, not to the out of control education bureaucracy and their bloated salaries. I know many people who were homeschooled and they are very capable people.  If they wish to attend a private school with those tax dollars, I also believe it should be the parents choice in the form of a voucher. Vouchers work!!!

Ethics

Do you agree with precinct chairs involvement in republican primaries? Why or why not?

Of course I do or I wouldn't be managing a political candidate during the primaries. You shouldn't have to sacrifice your opinions and your knowledge to have some watered down Conservatism of the most generic variety which will attract no one to your ideas. On the other hand, the County Chairman should not involve himself/herself in such primaries and the person at the top of a political party structure should have to attempt to be neutral as much as possible. This is not currently happening in the party now.

What's your impression of GOP Speaker Dennis Bonnen after he was caught offering a Quid Pro Quo to Empower Texans Michael Quinn Sullivan?  Should Speaker Bonnen resign?  Should he suffer legal ramifications for his action/s?

He should resign and suffer legal ramifications as determined by the Texas Rangers investgational unit.

Is there anything in your background of an embarrassing nature that should be explained before your election? Arrests/Convictions? Bankruptcys?

No. I have been background checked many times.

Immigration

What, if anything, should be done to protect our borders from illegal immigration?

We need to remove those who overstay their visas. If it costs signifigant money to do so-we should do it. We need to remove federal funds from sanctuary cities. We need a new social security monitoring and national id system to dry up illegal employment through an e-verify system. Finally, we need to build and fund the wall to not only combat illegal immigration but the out of control narco-traffickers who are taking over parts of Mexico i.e. Culiacan. We also do not need to undermine our Border Patrol Officials as many in the Democrat Party have done. We need to show gratitude and appreciation for those who serve in a mostly thankless job.God Bless these brave men and women!!!

Amnesty comes in many forms.  What's your view as it pertains to Texas?

There should be no amnesty on illegal immigration. That failed miserably in 1986.

Transportation

Do you support or oppose the referendum passed by both the MoCo GOP Executive Committee and SREC to allow voters, at the statewide level, to decide in the voting booth whether or not they want a particular toll road?  Why or why not?

I support letting voters decide as they will have to pay the tolls for the rest of their natural lives.

Did you take a public position on the May 9, 2015 Road Bond, and if so, what was it? And in a few sentences, explain why.

I didn't because I don't live in that area. I believe in local control of schools.

Other

What does being a conservative mean to you?

It means following our great Constitution. It means beleiving in the Greatness of America. It means reminding people of the postive qualities that made this country great to begin with and the ability of our Republic to reform itself through our Democratic institutions. It means believing our rights are  inherently given to us by our creator. It means defending Life. it means defending free market capitalism against the tyranny of insipid socialism. We are trying to conserve the unique character of the American Republic--that is our mission, that is our charge. If Conservatives don't defend our traditions and remind successive generations of how we arrived at this point in history, all that I have mentioned will be forgotten. I for one will never let that happen. For the first few years of my life, I was deprived of America. I lived in the Middle East. My parents assidously reminded me of being American and what that actually meant. It meant the freedom to live your life without the restrictions other societies imposed on you. What should a Conservative American always do? I always defend our way of life. Preservation of greatness is Conservatism. We are the most free nation in human history.

Do you support the Montgomery County Republican Party By-Laws as adopted by the CEC on 6/26/18?  And if not, why not?

Yes.
