Questionnaire

General

Please describe what you believe are the most significant issues in this race, why and what you'll do to address them?

The most significant issue in this race is the adherhance to the adopted by-laws. It will be my task to remain laser focused on seeing to the goals of the Republican party of Montgomery County, both in the next primary and the national election in November 2020.

Do you promise, if elected, to abide by the RPT platform? And if not, please enumerate what problems you have.

If elected, to promise to abide by the RPT platform.

What differentiates you from your opponents?

My longtime affliation to conservative values, free speech (all speech), 2nd amendment rights, individual liberty, my adherence to the rule of law, limited government, low taxes and right to life at the moment of conception.

What best describes your political ideology most(circle only one).
1.        Republican
2.        Grassroots
3.        Conservative
4.        Tea Party

Please list 3 federal agencies that are popular in our culture and should be abolished

1. Department of Education, should be at state level

2. IRS

Should Texas GOP limit their elected officials to 8 years or less from the same office, even though it will force some good candidates to leave an office?

I truly believe that we should limit elected officials to eight years or less, even though it will force some good candidates to leave an office. It will also encourage new candidates.

When you leave office what accomplishment/s do you want to be your hallmark, your legacy, and why?

When I complete my term of my office, I want to know that I did all that I could do to gather the republican voters to make their wishes known in every election, from the local level to the national level.

Taxes

What form of federal tax law do you support (e.g., current, flat tax, fair tax, other) and why?

I believe that adopting a flat tax would streamline the tax process.

A couple of years ago, a resolution was put forth by MoCo GOP to institute a 20% Homestead Exemption.  Did you support or oppose this and why?

I support the resolution for the Homestead Exemption. I feel that the program is worth fighting for, for many homeowners, it is extremely benefical.

2nd Amendment - guns

Do you believe the Second Amendment grants an individual right or a militia right?

I believe the Second Amendment grants both an individual right and a militia right. The original writers of the constitution intended it to be that way.

10th Amendment

Please explain your interpretation of the Tenth Amendment and the principle of nullification. Do states have a right of nullification? What should the federal government do if a state attempts nullification?

As codified in law with the 2nd Amendment, the People did not delegate the power to regulate or control the ownership of firearms to the federal government. And, as the 10th Amendment makes clear, all powers not delegated to the federal government are reserved to the States or to the People themselves. States absolutely should have the right to nullification if the Federal government does not abide upholds the original amendments in our constitution.

Other civil liberty

Do you support or oppose federal funding for Planned Parenthood and other agencies that perform abortions, both in the U.S. and abroad (even if they use money derived from other sources)?

I oppose the federal funding for Planned Parenthood or any agencies that perform abortions.

At what point should the "right to life" or "personhood" be granted to new human beings (e.g., at conception, birth, 5 days old, etc)? What action, if any, will you take to reflect this in law?

I believe that the "right to life" begins at conception. We should support locally and nationally to maintain the santity of life.

Education

Do you support or oppose allowing parents direct the flow of federal education funds (e.g., to their school or home school of choice)? Support? Oppose? Please explain.

I strongly support allowing parents to direct the flow of federal education funds to their school or home school of choice.

Ethics

Do you agree with precinct chairs involvement in republican primaries? Why or why not?

Yes, I agree that precinct chairs should be involved in republican primaries because the pricinct is the beginning of the local level involvement.

What's your impression of GOP Speaker Dennis Bonnen after he was caught offering a Quid Pro Quo to Empower Texans Michael Quinn Sullivan?  Should Speaker Bonnen resign?  Should he suffer legal ramifications for his action/s?

Earning the trust of your constiuents is the basic foundation of a politcial campaign. Clearly, the intentions of GOP Speaker Bonnen were less than honest and honorable. If GOP Speaker Bonnen has broken the rule of law through any act, he should suffer legal ramifications for his actions. Ultimately, the truth will shine through the lies, whoever is at the bottom of it all.

Is there anything in your background of an embarrassing nature that should be explained before your election? Arrests/Convictions? Bankruptcys?

There is nothing in my background of an embarrassing nature that should be explained before the election.

Immigration

What, if anything, should be done to protect our borders from illegal immigration?

Every country has borders, that's one of the things that defines the country. Our borders need to be protected from illegal immigration. Our current administration is working diligiently toward securing those borders, despite, the opposition.

Amnesty comes in many forms.  What's your view as it pertains to Texas?

When it comes to Texas immigration and amnesty, I feel strongly that legal immigration is good and illegal immigration is bad. Our country should enforce the laws that are already in place and follow the rule of law.

Transportation

Do you support or oppose the referendum passed by both the MoCo GOP Executive Committee and SREC to allow voters, at the statewide level, to decide in the voting booth whether or not they want a particular toll road?  Why or why not?

I support the referendum passed to decide in the voting booth whether or not to continue a particular toll road. Infastructure for roads should be integrated in the budget and not be adopted an additional taxation through the tolls.

Did you take a public position on the May 9, 2015 Road Bond, and if so, what was it? And in a few sentences, explain why.

Because the May 9 Road bond was a county wide vote, I did my research on the subject and I did vote against the bond.
