General

Please describe what you believe are the most significant issues in this race, why and what you'll do to address them?

I feel strongly that as the incumbent for Precinct 90, i best represent the core values of the voters in my Precinct and the Conservative values of the MCRP. I am the only Conservative in this race and have voted over the past 4 years to reduce County Govt spending and hold elected officials as accountable as possible. I will maintain High accountability to the core principals of the MCRP to include: Pro-Life, Pro- US Constiution, Pro God, Pro Biblical Marriage, and Pro small local Gov't.

The most pressing issues facing in my Precinct are: High Property Taxes, runaway spending throughout the county, and who the MCRP Chairman is. School Boards and Appraisal Districts are the drivers for higher property taxes. We must hold current School boards accountable by reducing Maintenance and Operating costs, and when Bonds are requested i will vote NO for increase spending above set budgets. I have already voted to stop tolls on roads that have serviced all debt, and will continue to do so. I firmly believe that the MCRP Party Chairman needs to be a person of high integrity and be a Servant Leader. That is why i will vote for and campaign for Jon Bouche for MCRP County Chairman in 2020.

Do you promise, if elected, to abide by the RPT platform? And if not, please enumerate what problems you have.

Yes i promise to abide by the RPT party platform. If at any time during my tenure i find the RPT strays from our core principals and platform, i will object and work to make changes that bring our party back on track.

What differentiates you from your opponents?

I am a Conservative Republican and have supported same since 1980. I am the incumbent running for re-election for Precinct 90. I have not EVER bullied (directly or indrectly) and will never do same to anyone of my constituents throughout my tenure as Precinct 90 Chairman. I have never voted for or supported a Democrat candidate or non conservative in any political race in my life. I am a member in good standing of the MCTP Pac and a memeber of the MCRPTx CEC. I was elected to the Legislative Priorities Committee at the RPT State Convention in 2018, and voted to decide the top 5 priorities for our party. I have been a Delegate to the RPT since 2016. I am a Pro life, Pro Biblical marriage, Pro small Govt, Pro US Constitution, Pro US Military, Pro American Flag and a Born Again Christian (since 1997). I am a member in good standing of the Marine Corps League since 2002 (locally since 2014). I am a USMC Combat Veteran (enlisted and officer). My Opponent support establishment ideals and the status quo of big spending "good old boy" politics.

What best describes your political ideology most(circle only one).

3. IRS

Should Texas GOP limit their elected officials to 8 years or less from the same office, even though it will force some good candidates to leave an office?

Yes, I am in favor of term limits across the board serving for no more than 8 years (unless extreme circumstances require longer).

When you leave office what accomplishment/s do you want to be your hallmark, your legacy, and why?

When i step down i want to know as a Servant Leader who was a strong conservative voice for the people.

Taxes

What form of federal tax law do you support (e.g., current, flat tax, fair tax, other) and why?

Flat Tax (10% for everyone, no loop holes)

A couple of years ago, a resolution was put forth by MoCo GOP to institute a 20% Homestead Exemption.  Did you support or oppose this and why?

As a voting member of the resolution, I supported the the 20% Homestead Exemption; this effort helps reduce some of the burden of high property taxes in MoCo. I believe that lower taxes are foundational to our Conservative core values.

2nd Amendment - guns

Do you believe the Second Amendment grants an individual right or a militia right?

2nd Ammendment is an Individual Right of every US Citizen. I also believe in a Constitutional Carry law and we should be able to Cary concealed in every state.

10th Amendment

Please explain your interpretation of the Tenth Amendment and the principle of nullification. Do states have a right of nullification? What should the federal government do if a state attempts nullification?

Tenth Ammendment protect the States/Peoples rights from the Federal Gov't overreach. I don't believe that the States have authority to "nullify" federal law or the US Constitution. When States disagree with Federal Law, or try to Nullify a Federal Decision, those conflicts are adjudicated by the US Supreme Court.

Other civil liberty

Do you support or oppose federal funding for Planned Parenthood and other agencies that perform abortions, both in the U.S. and abroad (even if they use money derived from other sources)?

I oppose any federal/state or local funding of PP and or any abortion agency; US or abroad. No US Tax dollars should be derived from other sources either.

At what point should the "right to life" or "personhood" be granted to new human beings (e.g., at conception, birth, 5 days old, etc)? What action, if any, will you take to reflect this in law?

I believe that life begins at conception. The unborn deserve to be protected throughout the pregnancy with no exception. The law should reflect that all life, especially the Unborn, will be protected equally. It will be a felony criminal offense to take the life of ANY HUMAN, born and unborn.

Education

Do you support or oppose allowing parents direct the flow of federal education funds (e.g., to their school or home school of choice)? Support? Oppose? Please explain.

I support "School Choice" legislation that tax dollars assigned to education should be decided by the parent(s). The funds belong to the person who earned them, not the Govt. Let the parents decide and let the funds be used for private or public or home school.

Ethics

Do you agree with precinct chairs involvement in republican primaries? Why or why not?

I agree Precinct Chairs should have the ability to endorse any republican candidate they choose during the Primary. ;We have the right to exercise our opinion just like any other voter.

What's your impression of GOP Speaker Dennis Bonnen after he was caught offering a Quid Pro Quo to Empower Texans Michael Quinn Sullivan?  Should Speaker Bonnen resign?  Should he suffer legal ramifications for his action/s?

Speaker Bonnen should resign for his unethical conduct. There should never be a double standard for legislators. The public trust is too valuable and the Republican Party demands better. If he doesn't resign, he should be tried and when found guilty, forced to resign and banned from serving in public office again.

Is there anything in your background of an embarrassing nature that should be explained before your election? Arrests/Convictions? Bankruptcys?

No

Immigration

What, if anything, should be done to protect our borders from illegal immigration?

I agree with President Trump's assessment that we have a National Security Crises on our entire southern border. Funding for the Wall and economic tariffs on Mexico is available and need to be the top priority. We can also designate all Drug Cartels and Gangs that are employed by them as TERRORISTS. Once designated, we can physically and electronically destroy the drug plantations and infrastructure in a very direct military manner (Drone Strikes primarily vs troops on ground). Along with the borders closed and Drugs and Human trafficking stopped, we can prosecute corrupt US politicians who have taken bribes from the Cartels. Any US Govt agency that has conducted covert operations that involved trafficking humans and drugs into and out of the US, will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Illegal immigration will dramitically decrease and our country will be safer.

Amnesty comes in many forms.  What's your view as it pertains to Texas?

I do not believe in amnesty for everyone as most liberal Democrats believe. Amnesty should only be granted to those foreign nationals who live in politically persecuted countries and asylum is sought from the first country that borders the persecuted nation (El Salvador seeks asylum in Guatemala, Guatamala seeks asylum in Mexico etc.

Texas is a very large border state, however it should not be forced to accept any illegal aliens. If aliens are granted Asylum/Amnesty and choose to live inTexas, they need to register and seek permenante and legal citizenship.

Transportation

Do you support or oppose the referendum passed by both the MoCo GOP Executive Committee and SREC to allow voters, at the statewide level, to decide in the voting booth whether or not they want a particular toll road?  Why or why not?

YES, i support and voted for the referendum that allows voters to decide if we want Toll Roads before any tax payor funds are spent. This will minimize over spending and force Percinct Commissioners to discuss and justify why we need toll roads and require competitive bidding to save as much money as possible. I also agree and voted for Toll Roads becoming free to the public when the debt is serviced.

Did you take a public position on the May 9, 2015 Road Bond, and if so, what was it? And in a few sentences, explain why.

No, i did not take a public position on the May 9 2015 road bond but i did not support the Woodlands Parkway extension.

Other

What does being a conservative mean to you?

Conservativism is a way of life. Conservatives are God fearing, freedom and liberty loving patriots who believe that through hard work and perseverance, we ALL can live the American Dream. We are eternal optimists and strongly believe that we must fight tyranny and evil to preserve our God given way of life. Conservatives have made the world a better place: from ending slavery to economic prosperity, we conservatives are the best example of Servant Leaders. I am proud to claim many titles: Christian, Father, Marine, and i am especially proud of the title of Conservative.

Do you support the Montgomery County Republican Party By-Laws as adopted by the CEC on 6/26/18?  And if not, why not?

Yes I do support the By Law changes. As a CEC member who voted in support of the new by-laws in 2018, i saw first hand the positive impact of de-centralizing power of the party chairman. The ability to implement Conservative ideals and high accountability into County politics began the day we changed the By-Laws. I am proud to be a part of the MCRP revolution that not only changed our local party but has since motiovated the rest of Texas to make similar changes.
