I'm a proud Texan, born and raised north of DFW. I grew up in a small town with a population of less than 100 people. I went on to Texas A&M where I studied Geographic Information Systems. While there, I became Chairman of the College Republicans where I cut my teeth on local, state, and national politics. After college, I moved to the Houston area after receiving a job offer at ExxonMobil, where I still work today. 

In 2019, I took a leave of absence from work to travel to over 25 national parks and national forests where I was able to spend over 7 months hiking, kayaking and improving my photography skills. I didn't think I could love this country more, but after seeing the natural wonders of the western United States, I was reminded of the very special place we get to call home. 

In 2021, I bought a home in Pinehurst in an attempt to flee the nonsense running ramped in Harris County. Recently, I became a board member of Log Cabin Republicans of Houston where we've been fighting to elect Republicans up and down the ballot and promoting conservative values.

I support all of these proposed revision to the RPT platform. The only one that gives me slight pause is the elimination of the property tax. I voted to support this in the ballot box because I agree with it in principle. However, taxes will need to be collected in some way. I rather would had us specifiy in our platform how we propose to replace the property tax when proposing to strike it down rather than us just say we would like to strike it down. 

 

 

Should the county GOP chair be involved with fundraising? Why or why not?

The county GOP chair should be involved in fundraising in the general election. They should not get involved in fundraising for candidates in the primary election. Their role in the primary election should be managing a healthy organization in which candidates can run successfully. 

Do you like the Steering Committee style of leadership currently in place or that of just a county chairman?

I fully support a steering committee approach to running a political organization, especially the Republican party which supposedly best represents the principles of a constitutional republic. Centralized power is corrupted power. I don't trust it in Washington, I don't trust it in Austin, and I don't trust it in Conroe. 

Do you think the 'Republican' brand should be used by PACs in their names that may deceive voters? Why or why not?"

I do not believe they should use the term Republican, or conservative for that matter, in PAC names. However, I don't see any court abridging freedom of speech or legislating political speech to limit such uses of terms. 

Do you beieve that the county chair/precinct chairs should actively participate in at least one committee?

The precinct chair should be totally committed to their role, including assuming responsibilities of serving of committees. However, I have seen organizations run by committees that can't get anything done. I would want the committees to be effective, defined with clear scopes and purposes, and staffed properly. I would rather some chairs not have a committee role and it be effectively ran than all chairs have a committee role and it be ineffective. 

Are you willing to put in the time necessary to attend CEC meetings, additional committee meetings, training sessions, blockwalking, etc?

Yes. I'm all in. When I commit to something, I become totally invested. I was raised that way; not going to stop now. 

How do you believe precinct chairs should be involved in elections? (election judge, clerk, none?)

Yes, they should be involved in elections, especially with the rise in voter fraud and abuse. They should exemplify what every citizen should do and be the eyes and ears on the ground. Any problems can then be reported up through the party where issues can really be addressed more broadly. 

What's your position on Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan?

I have no strong feeling towards or against him. However, I do have mild discontent for our state leaders, including Abbot for weak leadership during the pandemic. Many, it seemed to me, licked their fingers and stuck them in the air to determine the political winds before standing on principle. This is why I voted for Don Huffines for governor. We need more DeSantis in Texas and fewer Gavin Newsom lites. 

In the end, however, I'll support Abbot and other republicans running in the general election. 

Budget

Would you support legislative action to establish a salary framework (possibly related to the Gov. salary) for all taxpayer funded employees with a stipulation that elected officials be required to get voter approval to exceed that framework for their own salaries?

Yes, this makes sense to me. The federal government's General Schedule (GS) pay grade is a good framework from which to work. 

Other civil liberty

Do you support or oppose federal funding for Planned Parenthood and other agencies that perform abortions, both in the U.S. and abroad (even if they use money derived from other sources)?

I wholeheartedly oppose federal funding being used to fund any abortions in the U.S. or abroad.

The only exception would be medically necessary abortions directed or overseen by medical doctors when a woman's life is in immediate danger. In this situation, if the person is a federal employee covered by federal insurance, then federal dollars should be permitted to be used in a legitiment emergency medical procedure. This is and shall be a very rare occurence. 

To reiterate, elective abortions done out for convenience should never be covered by federal funds nor shall federally provided insurance be permitted to cover such procedures. 

Education

Do you support or oppose social programs in our schools (like C-Scope, Common Core, CRT, International Baccalaureate, SEL, etc.)? Why or why not?

I do not support Common Core teaching principles. 

I do not support teaching CRT, in any form, name or convention, to K-12 students. It is a cancerous ideology that would undermine the primary goals of teaching reading, writing, arithmetic, and civics. 

I'm not familiar with the other items listed here. 

Not listed here are advanced placement programs. I believe these should be awarded by merit, not through some race quota system. 

Ethics

Is there anything in your background of an embarrassing nature that should be explained before your election? Arrests/Convictions? Bankruptcys?

No. I am an upstanding citizen that votes, pays my taxes, answers jury summons and goes to work. I believe we must serve our country and our God and that we will be called where we stand to do so. I have no run-ins with the law, other than 1 speeding ticket when I was 17. And my finances are in order. 

I would like to personally address the "gay" thing, as it may come up at some point. I do not believe that being gay is anything to be embarrassed or ashamed about. However, I want you to know exactly where I stand on the issues and this space seems to work better than the other boxes. 

I do not, in any way, agree with the "LGBTQ agenda" in as much as the left defines that term. The left proclaims that we all believe that preferred pronoun usage shall be compelled by the rule of law and not using the right pronoun is the same as physical violence. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. The left proclaims that we all believe that trans people should participate in whatever sport they want and go into any bathroom they want. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. The left proclaims we believe that all sorts of debauchery should be taught to our kids in school and that drag queens should read to kindergarteners. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. The left proclaims we all believe that legislating LGBT rights from the bench is okay because the ends justify the means. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. 

The left has hijacked many groups, including the gays. Many gay people are conservatives first, Americans first, Texans first, even Christians first before they are gay. We are principled, God fearing, conservative Patriots. 

You may disagree with my lifestyle. But that's perfectly okay! We live in a country where we can think what we want, say what we want and be who we want to be. I very kindly ask you to not assume that I believe in all this nonsense that the left says I do. Don't fall for their lies. 

I want the same thing that any red-blooded American wants - liberty. And I will fight in every way I can do preserve this for future generations. I see liberty slipping away from each of us. And to defeat this evil that is eroding our liberty, we need to unite on the common ground and on our common values. 

 

 

At what point should the "right to life" or "personhood" be granted to new human beings (e.g., at conception, sign of heartbeat, 3 months of pregnancy, birth, 5 days old, etc)? What action, if any, will you take to reflect this in law?

I believe that life begins at conception and that personhood shall immediately be granted. 

I believe the actions taken by the Texas Legislature are great step to reduce the number of abortions performed in our state. I am not sure what else, at a state level, can be done that would not be overturned by the US Supreme Court. Therefore, I believe that promoting Republican candidates at the federal level is critical to ensure we hold majorities in the United States Congress to enact laws that can chip away at Roe vs Wade. And it's critical that we have Republican presidents to ensure that originalists are nominated to the Supreme Court. 

Other than the traditional avenues of change, I believe we also need to call a Convention of the States to propose ammendents to the Consitutition, namely granting personhood at conception, but also requiring a balanced budge, amongst others. 

Should the county GOP chair be involved in any other political organizations, including PAC's, while serving a term as the chairman? Why or why not?

I do not have an issue with a county GOP chair being involved with a PAC so long as it doesn't endorse or donate to primary candidates and so long that it upholds the platform of the Republican Party of Texas. 

Immigration

What, if anything, should be done to protect our borders from illegal immigration?

We need to fund the border wall and ensure it is BUILT, first and foremost. Then we need to properly staff Border Patrol and ICE and let them do their jobs unobstructed. The border needs to be fully sealed and monitored either electronically or in-person. 

Once secured, we need to immediately begin deporting illegal aliens. We should create more courts and nominate more judges if needed, even on a temporary basis. Legislatively, we need to end the enticing benefits, including heathcare, tuition reimbursement and many more. Laws need to be passed to ensure swift and effective deportation in the future. All foreign aid shall be stopped to countries that cannot control their own borders and have citizens flooding ours. 

In parallel, a seasonable worker program should be created to ensure that workers that enter the country are good, upstanding citizens, have no diseases, pay taxes at all levels and have sufficient income to support themselves or have a US host guarantee their support. This ensure that farm workers can still enter, but that they are not taking advantage of the system or unduly displacing American workders. 

Our immigration system needs to prioritize selecting true asylum seekers and people with the skills we need from other countries rather than sifting through the poor, uneducated, and unskilled masses flooding our border. Meritocracy should be the answer, not a $10,000 payment to a coyote and a wade across the Rio Grande. 

Transportation

Do you support or oppose the referendum passed by both the MoCo GOP Executive Committee and SREC to allow voters, at the statewide level, to decide whether or not they want a particular toll road?

Yes. As a person that has to take toll roads for 90% of my commute, I wholeheartedly agree with giving voters a choice. 

Other

What does being a conservative mean to you?

To me, a conservative is someone who values the ideas and principles of the Founding Fathers, namely that that "all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."  To guarantee these for us and for future generations, a conservative believes that the federal government shall remain limited so that it can't abridge these rights gifted to us by God. 

A conservative is someone who is completely loyal to the Constitution and agrees that it should be interpreted as it was originally written. A conservative values justice in that all men are presumed innocent before proven guilty, no matter how serious the crime. A conservative believes in law and order and that no man is above the law. 

A conservative is someone that sacrifices for their country and for their countryman because they know that this is the last city upon the hill and that there's no one else to run.

A conservative is someone who remains hopeful, because they know that there was reason this country established and that they have a role to play.
