Questionnaire

General

This is a Republican primary race.  Do you promise, if elected, to abide by the RPT platform? And if not, please enumerate what problems you have.

Yes, I do promise to abide by the RPT platform.

What best describes your political ideology most(circle only one).
1.        Republican
2.        Grassroots
3.        Conservative
4.        Tea Party

3. Conservative

There's discussion about making major revisions to the RPT Platform. Please describe the nature of any major changes you support.

If anyone is looking at the RPT platform and sees 33 pages, they are going to have trouble understanding what we stand for.  It is also impossible to hold anyone accountable on something with so many narrow planks.

Should the county GOP chair be involved with fundraising? Why or why not?

No.  The county GOP chair and executive members should not be involved in fundraising.  This promotes endorsement of specific candidates who may not support our platform.

Do you like the Steering Committee style of leadership currently in place or that of just a county chairman?

I support the Steering Committee style of leadership.  A reasonable number of voices is always better than a dictate by one.

Do you think the 'Republican' brand should be used by PACs in their names that may deceive voters? Why or why not?"

Absolutely no.  This promotes endorsement of specific candidates who may not support our platform.

Do you beieve that the county chair/precinct chairs should actively participate in at least one committee?

Yes.  A chair is elected to represent their district.  If not participating, why are they there?

Are you willing to put in the time necessary to attend CEC meetings, additional committee meetings, training sessions, blockwalking, etc?

Yes.

How do you believe precinct chairs should be involved in elections? (election judge, clerk, none?)

Precinct chairs should participate in elections to ensure laws are being followed and equally applied to all participants.  Precinct chairs should be a resource for citizenry regarding the political process, election integrity and election laws.  Serving party members by whatever means achievable should be the expectation for a precinct chair.

What's your position on Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan?

I disagree with Speaker Phelan's appointing democrats to chair committees, not punishing democrats who fled the state of Texas during the legislative session in 2021, and not promoting the RPT platform.

Budget

Would you support legislative action to establish a salary framework (possibly related to the Gov. salary) for all taxpayer funded employees with a stipulation that elected officials be required to get voter approval to exceed that framework for their own salaries?

Yes

Other civil liberty

Do you support or oppose federal funding for Planned Parenthood and other agencies that perform abortions, both in the U.S. and abroad (even if they use money derived from other sources)?

I oppose federal funding for Planned Parenthood and other agencies that perform abortions, across the world.  If they use money from "other sources" that is simply a shell game.

Education

Do you support or oppose social programs in our schools (like C-Scope, Common Core, CRT, International Baccalaureate, SEL, etc.)? Why or why not?

I oppose any social programs in our schools.  The purpose of public education should be to teach our children reading, writing, arithmetic, and history.  I believe a civics course should be required to graduate high school.

Ethics

Is there anything in your background of an embarrassing nature that should be explained before your election? Arrests/Convictions? Bankruptcys?

No

At what point should the "right to life" or "personhood" be granted to new human beings (e.g., at conception, sign of heartbeat, 3 months of pregnancy, birth, 5 days old, etc)? What action, if any, will you take to reflect this in law?

I believe life begins at conception.  I will support any actions that promote legislation to this end.  I will not support any regulations to the contrary.

Should the county GOP chair be involved in any other political organizations, including PAC's, while serving a term as the chairman? Why or why not?

No.  The county GOP chair and executive members should not be involved any other political organizations, including PAC's.  This promotes endorsement of specific candidates who may not support our platform.

Immigration

What, if anything, should be done to protect our borders from illegal immigration?

A wall should be constructed on our southern border.  Any person in the country illegally, should be transported back to their country of origin.  We must use all means necessary to ensure the federal government honors the sovereignty of our borders and upholds the law.

Transportation

Do you support or oppose the referendum passed by both the MoCo GOP Executive Committee and SREC to allow voters, at the statewide level, to decide whether or not they want a particular toll road?

Yes

Other

What does being a conservative mean to you?

To me, a conservative is a person who believes in fiscal responsibility, free markets, constitutionally limited government, individual responsibility and accountability, and the right to own and protect themselves and their property.
